Well peeps,
It is official......Charlie has started teaching at our new yoga space and the feedback has been truly wonderful! I think his simply and very explaining manner and style of teaching makes is less complicated to newbies...not that yoga is complicated..we are only as complicated as we make things and our lives and anything we do in it!
But the space is breathtaking and so it is not hard to let all the noise in your head just slip away. We are extremely excited to see our business grow and to allow more people aware of the benefits of yoga and natural healing and whole food living.
So...I have been free of my chronic Pancreatitus now for three months in a couple of weeks and I have not missed the usual bi weekly hospital stays or IV drugs...but I did however blow out another disk in my lower back 3 months ago which landed me in a hospital bed for 3 days and I didnt bother going to see my spinal surgeon afterwards as the hospital doctors didnt seem to concerned and they gave me a CD disk with new MRI images on it to take to see the doctor who did my last two back surgeries five years ago.
But then the leg numbness and pain in the right leg started 3 weeks ago and something didnt feel right so I went to see him and I was shocked when he showed me the scans and told me not only had I herniated the disc above my spinal fusion but the bone graft from it had overgrown and stenosis had set in opposite the bad disc and was causing spinal compression!
He explained that if it got any worse then I am looking at three separate procedures and a recovery time of being in hospital for 3 months plus!!!!!
I don't have time for this.....who would.... but the thought of having such a risky procedure which in his words were "this is the most aggressive procedure I do" just had me feel sick to the pit of my stomach and the last surgery was so incredibly painful, invasive to my body and long recovery, he said this surgery will make the other one look like nothing!!!!!
So he told me steroid injections first to get the inflammation down followed by a procedure in the operating room where they put electrodes into the spine and see which nerves are being pinched and then can assess surgery. Ummmm....aint going to happen on my watch I thought immediately!!
So I asked him to give me three weeks to get the inflammation down myself using natropathic techniques and yoga and exercise and diet. He told me he would respect that and he knows how much I look after myself and trusts me on this!
So only five days in and pain has gone in the right leg and just getting some twinges when I lift anything...so ..NO lifting..doing yoga two times a day..walking around the lake for 45 mins everyday...visualizing my back healing and eating an anti infamatory diet and taking natural supplients...
The biggest key to this is very simple....telling myself I will not be having or needing surgery and visualizing myself well and healthy. I did this for both my pancrititus and my three heart defects which were all gone at my last check ups!!!
So...I will keep you posted after my next visit to the surgeon for possible MRI scans and I guarantee all will be well!!
Here is the scan taken at the hospital and I will no doubt be posting a next follow up image where the disk and stenosis are normal...

I hope this blog helps someone else with back pain and problems because back pain sucks...BIG TIME!!!!
